Design & Distil your own craft gin at Gin School
LEARN: Start by exploring gin’s key botanicals and unique flavours through touch, taste and smell. We’ll share some tried-and-tested formulation guidelines to give you a clear foundation of how to create a gin recipe from scratch.
DESIGN: Next put your new knowledge to work and design your own gin formula using our wide range of botanicals. Well help you every step of the way with expert guidance and starter recipes that can be modified to add your own unique touch.
DISTIL: Once your botanicals are measured out, you’ll load them into your own mini still and fire her up.
EXPLORE: As we wait for crystal clear spirit to drip from your still, we’ll travel the length of our beautiful country with a New Zealand craft gin tasting. Try some distinctive craft gins and hear the stories of the distillers who create them.
ENJOY: Enjoy some delicious nibbles while adding the finishing touches your gin’s personalised label. Once distillation is done (about 60min from start to finish), dilute and bottle your masterpiece.
